The radio station is a good idea.A comedian sounds like a good job from the description, or an actor. But, just do whatever you want to do most in life!

Have you tried stand up? Anyone can give that a go without experience - see if it's to your liking. You can also do it while doing other, perhaps less fulfilling jobs. At 42 years, and having worked as a baker, I bet you've got loads of good material for a 5 minute stand up routine to get you started. All the best.

Prepare to starve for your art, especially with radio in general syndicating more shows than ever an not promoting personality driven programming very much anymore. Very few shows give interns airtime as well. As for the stand up act, look in your local entertainment paper for open mic nights and work on putting together a 5 minute set. Obviously, it will be a long time before you can quit your day job.
