Soft-Scrub and a micro-fiber rag will remove the residue and if you're lucky, it may not ruin the finish. Whatever you use will be chancy on the finish. If the soft-scrub is not effective, there's always lacquer thinner,( my favorite). Maybe refinishing the whole top is the answer if damage occurs. Good Luck...
