It might be okay in terms of no bacteria, but I imagine it would be very tough and perhaps taste bad. I've never eaten anything that was frozen that long. Maybe the cryopack will help it taste better?

I think NASA claims that they've gotten a consistent product for up to three years. Some scientists have cooked and eaten mastodon found frozen in glaciers.

If you are so desperate to eat a leg of lamb that has been frozen for 7 years, then you must be in a starvation scenario! Or you are a science freak who is experimenting with years old food! If you are starving, then why are you able to post this message? In this case give it to the wild animals or your dog if you have one after a defrost. If you are a science geek, I can only say cook it to your liking and if it goes well, you won’t diarrhea all over the place!
