If you want a city area Lakewood or the M streets area (Greenville Ave. South Of Mockingbird) How ever you will be in the Dallas ISD so Id look at privet schools. Wyle and Sasche are good for more of a country feel good schools but will have to drive 30 min to get to shopping and down town. Rowlett and Rockwall are decent areas but you might be in Garland schools so just make sure you are not in GISD. Avoid Garland, Mesquite, Bach Springs and Pleasant Grove, the northern areas 635 and north are better schools but put you out. If you do not mind tolls look at places off Gorge bush toll way. Good luck
