I agree, look at things in person. Online is a way to learn the lingo, but you need to see stuff in person and talk to people how can answer questions. But I'll start by telling you, you almost certainly don't want silver. It's too soft, it will be dented with everyday wear. You want white gold or platinum. Also, emeralds might not be cheaper than diamonds.

My fiance got mine from Etsy. I wanted Sapphires but they do loads with Emeralds too. Mine was an absolutebargain and was handmade for me in Florida
