Would you care to provide some details or is this just some partisan rant? The penalty is a measly $95 per year.

Don't sign up for insurance. If no one signs up for it, it can't be self sufficient and they will have to make another policy.

Your recourse is to pay attention to who you vote for and get involved the political process. So many people didn't heed the warnings which is why we're in this mess.

Hope. Change. Transparency. And golf every weekend. What Obama has wrought. Look at what the price of gas has done under his watch. But it is all Bush's fault. I suggest a part time job, give up cable, and meat only on Sunday.

Dude, Obamacare was designed to do this. They HAD to have millions of people get forced into a higher rate - that was the POINT of Obamacare - to have millions of people pay MORE for their health insurance, so the old, sick, and people with preexisting conditions can pay LESS for their health insurance. We've been telling everyone here for YEARS that rates are going to go up dramatically. Blame the voters who voted democratic, and voted for Obama for two terms - they - and you - got what they voted for.

This is happening because the insurance companies, not Obama, decided to do this. It is not a part of the new law. What Obama obviously meant by the promise was that the law wasn't going to take away anyone's coverage. No sane person would have interpreted it as meaning that no one could lose coverage for any reason, since every year millions of Americans lose coverage because they get their coverage from work and they lose their jobs. Insurance companies have been taking away coverage for many decades, since long before Obama was elected. This is not a new thing. The only difference now is that Obama has inadvertently set himself up to be blamed when insurance companies do it. They always want to make customers pay more, because it allows them to make more money, but it used to be hard politically, because they would get blamed for it and customers would get angry at them, so they did it infrequently. Now, customers blame Obama and get angry at him, and the insurance companies don't mind that as much, so the insurance companies can do it more.
