It's "Niagara Falls". There are two towns on both sides of the falls with that name. Niagara Falls, NY is owned by Americans. Niagara Falls, ON is owned by Canadians. As for the falls themselves, there are actually three sections. The American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls are located in USA, and so would be owned and managed by them. The Horseshoe Falls are almost entirely in Canada, although the official US-Canada border is located off the shoreline of Goat Island. There are certainly parts of Niagara Falls that are jointly owned or operate by both countries. The Maid of the Mist tours are allowed to operate from docks located in both Canada and USA, but they are required to always re-dock back at the same dock they left from. And when there is maintenance to be done that might affect the other country's operations, they will notify their counterparts so both are aware of any issues that may arise.

Collectively the waterfalls are named Niagara Falls. They consist of three different waterfalls. The American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls in the USA and the Canadian “Horseshoe” Falls in Canada. The Niagara River serves as an international border between the USA & Canada.
