We all have different thoughts and as long as the thoughts are not destructive or hurtful, they are fine as far as I'm concerned. Who is to even say if the mainstream is right?

Most definitely, some of the greatest things achieved were by the ones tho think differently than the mainstream culture. After all there's no greatness without a thought which seems impossible that's made reality

When it's good, you will have that. A person will brainstorm an idea, that is a benefit to all. No one is going to be hurt over it, lose anything, or anyone they love over it, and it benefit's, all. It is more than o.k., it's a great idea! On the flip side, if it's a bad idea, don't even count me in on it!
