The idea is to want to or not want to; to feel or not to feel like working; the idea of doing so because it is the best thing is choice. But, when one has to work because there is no other choice but to work that is the same as having no choice at all. And then there is the decision of what would one rather do live out of garbage cans or have an income coming in that to is choice.

Men have to work until we die, we're too old to work, or we become successful enough that we no longer have to work. If a woman marries a very successful man she will likely be given the option of not having to work. There is no woman in the world that would willingly marry a man that wants to stay at home and not work.

I doubt many people would choose to work if they had a choice in the matter. The need for money forces people into jobs, not the desire to be working. I certainly wouldn't be going into my job if I had a billion dollars in my bank account, just put it that way.

The vast majority of women, like men, have no choice but to work to support themselves, and if they have a family, they must work to support them as well (the average family can no longer survive on one income alone). Even so, many--if not most-- would rather work and pursue their career dreams than be stuck at home not living up to their aspirations.
