a lot of times when patients are receiving orthodontic treatment, things don't go as planned, so it can be hard to determine what will be done at each appointment and when things will be finished. I definitely understand your frustration because I have also had braces and the duration was a lot longer than what was initially expected. If you can I would say just wait it out because if they are already telling you they are going to take them off then you cant be much further from the actual time they will remove them. However, if you feel it is necessary to remove them anyways you absolutely have the right to do so because you are the one paying for them.
