Christmas light not working?

It could be a burned-out bulb (if the lights are on a series circuit) or there could be something wrong with the wiring. With some Christmas lights, if one light burns out, the whole string will not light. The only way to fix that is to test each bulb until you find the bad bulb.

it is almost impossible to locate a bad bulb wired on a tree and if you have had the tree a few years more bulbs will fail so what i did with mine was cut off prewired and restring with new lights the old fashion way, or replace all bulbs with new but dont buy replacement bulbs (to expensive) just buy a whole new string and take those bulbs
