You need to get this looked at by a mechanic. What you described isn't enough to narrow down to even a ball park reason. It could be anything from bad fuel sensors, bad fuel pump, exhaust system failure, alternator failure, radiator failure, water pump failure, etc. It can be a lot of things.

There is no way anybody can give you any pointer base on what you have described. Anyway find a BMW technician with a good scanner if not Factory scanner or go to any repair shops that work on BMW.. This is not a vehicle that you can DIY without proper tools and knowledge. Merry X- Mas.
