Canadian SIN number & employment history?

Answer this question

  • Canadian SIN number & employment history?

Your SIN can't be used to trace work history, at least by employers. It's used to file tax information with the government, that's it. Your potential employer needs the SIN because they can't legally hire you without it, and need to file tax information so you can be taxed legally. They can't go back and look who else has done that, not how the system works at all.
