daylight is enough. Though they will be slow to grow because the soil is not warm. Fungus and mushrooms will also appear.

Almost any light will do, but one that mimics daylight is best. The best duration is 18 hours daily.

you should look up the greenhouses they have in Antarctica ica they grow their own food .They do without natural light for a major part of the year also
