Brown to blue is unlikely. There is a condition called pigmentary dispersion syndrome where the iris sheds pigment. I don't think I have see an eye color change in anyone who has this but it seem possible. Patients using certain glaucoma medications experience darker eyes. Some people observe changes in eye color with mood. I believe that it is due to the dilation or constriction of blood vessels in the iris. I don't think that it is impossible to change eye color. I do not think it is worth taking any risks with vision to do so. I think our best scientists should be working on making people see, not changing the color of their eyes.
