Anybody can leave their property to anybody they want, regardless of relationship or lack thereof. My mother left her entire estate to one of her 3 children.

Yes, why not but one must try to teach one rather then just throwing of from life and property. Relations go along after death so one must try to bind them as loss of relation is the loss which we can never recover for ever

If the property was inherited from husband or grandparents, then she cannot do so. If the property was acquired from mother's own earnings, then she can do so.
