I wouldnt do it. Usually the lien has to be satisfied before the sale, but its a tow yard, so who knows how the car got there, and if they have rightful ownership..keep looking

If the lien was recorded by the DMV you or the seller must pay off the lien before you can buy it. If the lien was not registered you could buy it but the lien holder could take the car away from you.
