There's not much science in this area of study. Typically, you have back pain because you strained some muscle. Relaxation and rest typically fix it. If not, then you really messed up some part of the body and need surgery. As for stress being the trigger? You could have a minor problem or minor strain....and just never get over the pain because of continued stress or anxiety. A good example is working in a job that you hate, and you continue to feel a pain....even two months later. You aren't relaxing because of the stress and anxiety. Able to prove it in a doctor's office? It'd be tough, no obvious evidence.
