I honestly don't agree with lying about it in the first place. I realize how common it is and that society finds it acceptable, and other parents might get mad that your kid revealed the truth to theirs. But at the end of the day at least you didn't lie to your kids knowing their dreams would one day be crushed all for a brief period of extra excitement on holidays

From the day they are born. Why lie in the first place? It teaches children that lieing is acceptable.

You found out when you were 21! I found out when I was 10. You should tell your kids between the ages of around 10- 14.
