What helps me is if I write it down. I wrote my monologue down on a napkin at a restaurant, and I remembered it more every time I wrote it. Good luck to you :)

When you're performing the monologue - think like the character not like yourself pretending to be someone else. Understand not just WHAT the lines are but WHY the character is saying them. Know what is motivating the character and think about that because then the lines make sense and should come naturally. Good luck.
