Install SPYBOT - Search & Destroy, update it and run. If that doesn't work try SUPERANTISPYWARE and run it. If that fails try CCLEANER

download and install malwarebytes antimalware - install and update - reboot pc into safe mode (if you can) or disconnect from internet and run full scan - remove any found and reboot - update antivirus and check your browser addons/extensions/settings

To stop adverts you need to install Abblock plus in your browser. Go to settings and add-ons.

As an It consultant, we use Malwarebytes all the time. Free and does bett err than almost every paid AV software. Microsoft's Security essentials is free and does a pretty good job at keeping viruses off your machine. I wouldn't start messing with registering dll's as someone mentioned unless you have experience doing so. You can definitely do more harm than good
