This is the method of some vehicles abs module. When tire slipping is read by the computer it tells the brake pedal to push back and force the driver to apply less pressure, as soon as the tires stop slipping the pedal goes back down more causing the abs to push back on the brake pedal and repeating the procedure again. the procedure repeated many times is the vibration. The loud noises are likely the pedal motor pushing back as you continue to push the pedal. They may also indicate a partially worn out abs (common on 90's gm trucks and 2000's dodge cars) and if it starts making noises on dry ground u will most likely be replacing the abs module soon or be unplugging the abs module and using the car as if it had no abs at all.

That's the normal pedal feedback when the ABS kicks in. It actually pulses the applied foot pressure which corresponds to old-style pumping the brake. That's normal and a way of checking that the ABS actually works. Be aware that the ABS may even extend the braking distance since on ice it reduces braking to preserve directionality and wheel rotation. So it is safer, but you still have to keep your distance from the preceding vehicle in order to stop safely.
