No thanks, Ron. I don't like others interpreting the Bible for me and telling me what and what not to do.

Adding jw.org to the end of your "question" is saying, "I don't think for myself, I let these people do the thinking for me."

I've never checked out the JW website. I've been a born again Christian for over 40 years and a Bible student almost that long. I also know enough about their beliefs to know they don't square with Biblical Christianity. In fact, last week I counseled with an ex-JW about avoiding the trap of falling back into JWism and to grow his new found Christian faith. The things he shared were truly troubling, indicating how they wrecked his relationship with his daughter.

No, the truth is in Jesus. Jehovah's Witnesses deny Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit and keep people from the truth and from knowing God for themselves. Any who desires truth may apply to and seek God for themselves, since He is the God of Truth. Any other claiming the truth sets themselves in opposition to Him.

It is God's will that wants everyone to be saved. I would look for truth somewhere other than the website you attempted to link.

Why, it is "God our Saviour who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." That's why we have the Bible, the written word of God, which points us to Christ Jesus who is our Lord and Saviour.

There is some truth taught by Jehovah's Witnesses. No doubt about it. But there are also a few of their teachings that are directly contrary to the Bible and *several* of their teachings are not *soundly* (that is: logically) based on the Bible. (That is to say: several of their teachings are attempted to be justified by starting from Bible verses and then unsound, unjustifiable conclusions reached using logically-unsound arguments.) SO: - it would be wrong to say that there is NO truth there - but there is quite a bit of teaching there that is not sound teaching (that is not "an accurate knowledge of truth") P.S. Restored to R&S

it is very clear, God wants all people to be saved, there aren't 'sorts' to be set aside as more special than others Jesus died for all men, not all will be saved because the reject the gift of salvation, God has freely offered it but not all people will accept it the problem with man is that believe he has some input in the process, and if that were even remotely possible absolutely NO ONE would be saved because how does man measure the efforts, who is the one eligible to do the measuring--you, me, or someone else No, God has provided a gift and all you have do is accept it

It is Jehovah's will all sorts of people should be saved. 2 Peter 3:9 says: Jehovah is not slow concerning his promise as some people consider slowness but he is patient with you because he does not desire anyone to be destroyed but desires all to attain repentance. This scripture show it is his desire to save those that want to be saved.

In connection with your question on 1 Tim 2:4............I am amazed at how many who do not have the truth of Gods word use this as an excuse to rant about JW's . Jesus said "you will know the truth and the truth WILL set you free" there is only ONE truth and as JW's have the truth of Gods word many others cannot see our stance on that, after all there is only ONE truth, there is a 1,000 ways to tell the lie but only ONE truth and Jehovah cannot accept the lies that are being taught about him such as the pagan Trinity, and that somehow Jesus himself is God !
